Association of Pipe Manufacturers Established in Kazakhstan: A New Round of Development for Domestic Industry

On September 26, 2024, an important event took place in Almaty within the framework of the 29th International Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference — KIOGE 2024. At a meeting of representatives of leading enterprises of the oil and gas industry, a new non-profit organization was created — the Association of Legal Entities “Association of Pipe Manufacturers of Kazakhstan”. This is a significant step for the further development and coordination of pipe manufacturers in the country.

The meeting, which took place on September 26 at the InterContinental Almaty Hotel, brought together the founders of the largest companies in the industry, including:

• QazExpoCentre – Pipe LLP
• KSP Steel LLP
• Kazakhstan Oil Equipment Plant LLP
• Kaskor-Mashzavod LLP

The main goal of the meeting was to sign the constituent documents and form the Association, which will play a key role in consolidating the efforts of pipe manufacturers in Kazakhstan, promoting the introduction of innovative technologies and increasing competitiveness in the international arena.

During the meeting, strategic development directions and prospects for cooperation between the association’s members and the largest players in the oil and gas industry were discussed. The participants emphasized the importance of creating a platform for exchanging experience, jointly addressing issues of technical regulation and product standardization. The association will become an important tool for strengthening local content in oil and gas projects, which is especially relevant in the context of new requirements for sustainable development and reducing the carbon footprint.
